Rune Goldberg's machine is a daily entertainment for members that can be done to earn Vis Wax. Vis Wax is an extremely useful resource that is important no matter what stage your RuneScape account is at. The Vis Wax machine can be used to earn money or to store Vis Wax for a long time. Either way, daily distractions are essential to getting the most out of your account.

Vis Wax is usually used to lengthen auras. Especially in PvE scenarios, the best auras such as Berserker and Ruthless can be worth developing. Alternatively, Vis Wax can repeat and extend daily challenges, increase Divine Location limits, and add teleportation charges quickly. They are all handy when used correctly.

Make Vis Wax

Requirements: 50 Runecrafting, approximately 120,000 GP per run.

Vis Wax is always in high demand thanks to RuneScape's wide range of applications. This results in a high value, although it is relatively inexpensive to make. In other words, it is a daily money making program that is sure to work every time. On average, Vis Wax mileage gives you a profit of 900,000 GP. It is believed that all runes can be bought in stores, and not on the Great Stock Exchange.

The first step in making Vis Wax goes to one of the many Rune stores in Gielinor. The best stores are sophisticated stores because they have more runes and therefore take less time. The lower stores also work, but at least four will need to be visited to earn enough runes. Most of the upscale shops do not meet the requirements, but Void Knight Magic Store is available from any member account.

Go to Port Sarim and talk to Squire in the penultimate dock. Then, head to the west side of Void Knights' Outpost, where the Magic Shop is located. There are also other locations such as Yanille Magic Guild (66 Magic), Magic Shop Baby Jagi (Lunar Diplomacy), and Tutab's Magical Market (Monkey Madness).

Purchase all six basic gears: Air, Water, Earth, Fire, Spirit and Body. This costs just over 100,000 OSRS gold and should give you a full stack of 1,000 each rune. If this is your first time finishing a fishwax run in RuneScape, go to another rune shop and purchase a different supply set. Any excess runes can then be sold on the Grand Exchange for additional profit.

After purchasing the runes, the next step is to visit the Runecrafting Guild. It is located at the top of the Wizard's Tower south of the village of Draynor. The easiest way to get to him is to use the teleport option with the right mouse button on the Wicked Hood. Wicked Hood can be picked up for free by talking to Tam McGrubor in Northeast Burthorpe.

Go to the central portal at the top of the Wizard's Tower. Once inside, you'll find the Rune Goldberg Machine on the eastern side of the guild. Work with it and the Vis Wax creation interface will open.

The corresponding runes change each day to maximize how much Vis Wax you can earn. The easiest way to find out what runes are needed for a given day is to look through community-generated posts such as Vis Wax Fc V5 Combinations on the official RuneScape forums.

The first lock is always permanent and the same for everyone. The runner-up may be one of three, so try them all. Finally, the third slot is random for any account. The best way to find out which rune to use is to fill in the first and second boxes and then rotate between the other four previously purchased runes. Which of the remaining four runes produces the most fishwax should be used. You may need to purchase additional runes from time to time all the way to third place, but this is rare.
