Old School RuneScape has now launched Leagues III: Shattered Relics. The mode has new ways to compete and play, as well as a fragmented system that allows you to unlock better powers during battle.
Although Leagues officially started at 12:00 GMT, there were problems with the save profiles so the team had to roll back the main game to the state right before today's update, but anyone who has participated in any of the League worlds will see their saved data intact.
Leagues III: Shattered Relics allows you to get started as a new iron player. You have all tutorial items, but all skills except defense, fishing, stealing, and your chosen combat skill are locked. By completing quests, you can unlock skills, bosses, and quest sets along with rewards. XP percentages are five times higher than usual, and each death will make you reappear at the starting point of each city. Road stones in big cities help to travel between cities without cooling down. The goals, which are the new points of League, are huge, including learning skills, killing monsters, and completing missions. But since you start out with just four skills, your journey will be a bit more complicated than usual, which is the goal of a challenge mode game anyway.
There are also League Firsts, for players who complete League's most impressive achievements fastest, including things like unlocking all bosses, getting a pet, unlocking all skills, and even maximizing a chunk
Leagues is a time-limited mode, but the rewards stay with you and include new gear, including themed outfits. This time, the reward is the Outfit of the Hunter of Broken Relics. You can also get an animation for teleporting to the Shattered Relic house. When you use the scroll, your character will put away some relics and teleport you. There's also a banner and a weapons pack.
